So What is Grief?
The experience of grief is our response to a loss which can impact our physiological, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual functioning. Though we often think of grief as related to the death of a loved one, it encompasses so much more. My clients come to me with challenging relationship dynamics or divorce, loss of a job or hope, change in health, and significant life transitions, in addition to bereavement. I also offer support in areas of anxiety and depression as these areas often overlap. I specialize in working with caregivers of loved ones with terminal illness, young widows, and men.
My Approach
I utilize a number of grief frameworks in addition to psychotherapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, Narrative Therapy, IFS, and EMDR in order to best serve you and your goals for therapy. You will find my treatment approach to be empathetic and flexible, providing you with gentle feedback and appropriate accountability throughout our work together. My goal is to support and normalize your growth throughout therapy, and to provide tools to support you as you forge your path ahead.
